1917년 4월 19일에 벌어졌던 2차 가자 전투 전에 찍은 오스만 제국의 기관총사수들의 모습입니다. 1차 가자 전투가 단지 3주전에 발발하여 대영 제국의 패배로 끝났고, 두번째 시도도 실패로 끝이 났습니다. 6개월뒤 3번째 시도에서는 연합군이 마침내 가자-베르셰바 전선을 끊을수 있었습니다.

Ottoman machine gun corps, before the Second Battle of Gaza, which took place on 19 April 1917. The First Battle of Gaza, just three weeks prior, had ended in defeat for the British Empire, and this second attempt was also unsuccessful. Six months later, on the third attempt, the Allied forces were finally able to break the Gaza–Beersheba line.
