다량의 패트롤 (가솔린, 휘발유) 을 내연기관에 분사하는 일반적인 연료 분사기의 도해도 (다이어그램) 입니다. 연료가 엔진 쪽으로 보내기 위해 솔레로이드 (선륜통) 가 작동하면, 플런저가 자기력에 의해 솔레로이드 쪽을 향해 앞으로 밀려 나옵니다. 이것이 벨브를 열리게 만들어 연료를 원자화기(미세하게 만드는 부분)에 들어가서 스프레이의 끝으로 흐르게 합니다. 이런 방식으로 연료가 가는 길을 주황색으로 표기 했습니다. 회색/파란색은 연료가 없을 때의 표기입니다.

An animated cut-away diagram of a typical fuel injector, which is used to spray controlled amounts of petrol (gasoline) into an internal combustion engine. A solenoid is activated when fuel is intended to be delivered to the engine, causing the plunger to become pulled toward the solenoid by magnetic force. This uncovers the valve opening, allowing fuel to flow into the atomiser and out the spray tip. The route of fuel is shown in orange; grey/blue indicates no fuel present.
