데렉 지터(Derek Jeter) 는 뉴욕 양키스의 미국인 야구 선수입니다. 그는 유격수(shortstop) 로 활동하고 있으며 2003년 이후 팀의 주장으로 있습니다. 지터는 1995년에 메이저리그에 데뷰 했고, 그 이듬해에는 신인상을 수상했습니다. 지터는 역사상 같은해에 올-스타 게임 MVP 상과 월드 시리즈 MVP 상을 동시에 차지한 선수입니다. 거기다가 그는 실버 슬러거(Silver Slugger) 상과 골드 글러브(Gold Glove) 상을 동시에 수상했고, 양키스에서 사상 최고의 안타 선두자 입니다.

Derek Jeter is an American baseball player for the New York Yankees. He plays shortstop and has been the team captain since 2003. Jeter debuted in the Major Leagues in 1995, and the following year he won the Rookie of the Year Award. In 2000, Jeter became the only player in history to win both the All-Star Game MVP Award and the World Series MVP Award in the same year. In addition, he is a multiple winner of the Silver Slugger and Gold Glove awards, and is the all-time hit leader for the Yankees.
