붓꽃과에 있는 이소피시스 속(Isophysis genus) 에 있는 유일한 종인, 이소피시스 태즈매니카(Isophysis tasmanica) 의 꽃입니다. 이 꽃은 서부 태즈메니아(Western Tasmania) 의 산에서 자라는 풍토화이며, 무미 건조한 흙이 많은 황야지대에서 자라납니다. 뒤집은 모습에 잔디를-닮은 잎과 별을-닮은 검고 붉은-자주빛 또는 노란색 화피 조각을 가지고 있으며, 마찬가지로 독특한 상위 씨방(superior ovary) 이 다른 붓꽃과 식물들과 구분이 됩니다.

The flower of an Isophysis tasmanica plant, the only member of the Isophysis genus in the iris family. The plant is endemic to the mountains of Western Tasmania, growing in heathland on sandy soils. It has grass-like foliage and star-like dark red-purple or yellow flowers with reflexed tepals, as well as a characteristic superior ovary which distinguishes it from other Iridaceae.
