The Estádio da Luz in Lisbon, Portugal, is the home stadium of the association football club S.L. Benfica. The stadium, which has a capacity of 65,400, opened in October 2003, and is classified as an elite-level stadium by UEFA, allowing it to host major European cup finals. It replaced an older, larger stadium, also called Estádio da Luz.
