L. 프랭크 바움(L. Frank Baum)의 작품인 오즈의 마법사(The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, The Wizard of Oz) 초판의 삽화로써, 도로시 (Dorothy) (그림의 왼쪽) 서쪽의 사악한 마녀에게 물을 끼얹어 그녀를 녹이는 모습입니다. 1939 년 소설을 각색한 영화에서 그 마녀의 모습은 사람의 사악함에 대한 전형적인 모범이 되었습니다. 이 영화는 자주 인용되는 문구들을 담은 원천(출처)입니다. "널 잡을꺼야 .. 나의 귀여운... 그리고 니 작은 강아지두!"

The appearance of the witch in the 1939 film adaptation of the novel has become an archetype for human wickedness. This film is the source of the oft-quoted phrase, "I'll get you, my pretty ... and your little dog too!"
